Description
Delicious strawberry cheesecake rolls with a cream cheese glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/4 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast
- 1 cup Whole Milk, warm
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1 Large Egg, at room temperature
- 3 1/2 to 4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 8 oz Full-Fat Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar (Confectioners’ Sugar)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, diced
- 4 oz Full-Fat Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 2–4 tablespoons Milk or Cream
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 cup Strawberry Puree or Seedless Strawberry Jam
Instructions
- Activate the Yeast & Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the warm milk (around 105-115°F or 40-46°C) and a teaspoon of granulated sugar. Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the top and if too thin, add more powdered sugar.
- Glaze and Serve: As soon as the rolls come out of the oven, generously drizzle or spread the strawberry cream cheese glaze over the warm rolls. The warmth of the rolls will make the glaze beautifully melty and irresistible. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Ensure the milk is at the right temperature to properly activate the yeast.
- For best results, use fresh strawberries in the filling.
- The glaze can be adjusted with more or less milk based on desired consistency.
