Description

This balsamic tempeh recipe is a flavorful and healthy dish that’s perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz firm tempeh, cut into cubes
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp miso paste (white or yellow)
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, miso paste, maple syrup, minced garlic, and sesame oil until smooth.
  3. Place the tempeh in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Arrange the marinated tempeh on a lined baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the edges, drizzling with remaining marinade halfway through.
  6. Serve hot over rice or vegetables.
