Description

Delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies that are soft, chewy, and loaded with chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just blended.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • For chewier cookies, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
