A delicious combination of Granny Smith apples and sharp cheddar cheese wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 2 medium Granny Smith apples (cored and thinly sliced)
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, toss apple slices with brown sugar and cinnamon until well-coated.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 4-inch squares.
- Place a spoonful of the apple mixture and shredded cheddar cheese in the center of each square. Fold corners over to seal.
- Whisk the egg with a splash of water and brush it over the pastries for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
