Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to form a dough.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and oregano.
- Drizzle olive oil over the cheese and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicier taste, add red pepper flakes to the toppings.
- Allow the dough to rise for better texture if you have extra time.
